While we’ll actively reach out to some communities under the scope of Reimagining Wikidata from the margins, you and your community are welcome to join the discussions!

Here you can find some ways of contributing to the process:

  • Wiki Movimento Brasil will reach out to some communities in June to set meetings if they are interested in the theme
  • You can send a message to erica@wmnobrasil.org to set a meeting: either individually or along with your local community
  • Communities or small groups can discuss decentering Wikidata internally and then reach out to us to set a meeting
  • Feel free to imagine other creative ways of collaborating! We want to know what works best for you and your community, with no rigid format for getting engaged

Simultaneous translations: Meetings with the communities may have simultaneous translation resource so participants can feel comfortable speaking their native languages!

Don’t know where to start thinking about the issue? You can find here some initial questions to support reflection and discussions with your community regarding Wikidata.

Although the focus of the process is the marginalized voices, we also need good allies in privileged positions in the community to think together. If you fit this profile, feel free to join us as well!
