Andre Engels edit
RfP scheduled to end after 20 June 2014 10:38 (UTC)
- Andre Engels (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
It's been suggested I nominate for adminship to help reduce the backlog that sometimes exists in deletion requests of empty Items, which come into being through merges where not rarely I am myself (through the Game) responsible. I would be happy to take such a task upon me every now and again, and therefore now ask for such permission. --Andre Engels (talk) 10:10, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Support high edit count and length of service, plenty of rfd work. Obviously trustworthy because he was a steward up until last year. --Jakob (talk) 10:38, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Probably because Andre has been a steward from the time of creation of the steward group on until last year (with pauses) and you used to be involved very much in tasks closely related to steward work. Vogone (talk) 14:08, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- It may be nice if you created a userpage before the sysop access is possibly granted. Regards, Vogone (talk) 19:17, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- @Andre Engels: Also, would you mind opting in to the edit counter tool? --Jakob (talk) 19:21, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I wouldn't mind, but where's the tool?
- @Andre Engels: Just create User:Andre Engels/EditCounterOptIn.js with any content you want. --Jakob (talk) 08:31, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- As far as I see all of these blocks are self-blocks set in order to either cool down or for self-punishment(?). Vogone (talk) 21:31, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't know but I don't trust Google Translate's translation, one of the times he was blocked (in early 2013) it displays the reason as: "because he's a loser". :p --AmaryllisGardener talk 22:01, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- The self-block is indeed with the comment that he is a fool, and the unblock the same day with the comment that he is lovely.--Ymblanter (talk) 15:07, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, 'fool' is a better translation than 'loser'. - Andre Engels (talk) 22:01, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Yes, all blocks are by myself, with the exception of one case where MoiraMoira changed a self-block of 1 day into a block of 15 minutes. - Andre Engels (talk) 22:01, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- I do admit sometimes overreacting severely and getting angry, and one of the things I sometimes do in those cases is indeed blocking myself. - Andre Engels (talk) 22:01, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Given how prevalent errors in merging are, unless there are lots of examples I'd hardly hold a few bad merges against a candidate. Ajraddatz (talk) 07:02, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
