DanmicholoBot edit
DanmicholoBot (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Operator: Danmichaelo (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s: Populating Kulturminne ID (P758) from no:w:Template:Kulturminne values.
Function details:
- For every page on Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia that embeds Template:Kulturminne, the bot 1) grabs the Kulturminne-identifier from the first anonymous value and 2) adds a Kulturminne ID (P758) claim on the related wikidata-page (unless it already exists).
- If more than one template is found at any given page, the bot skips that page and writes it to a log for manual handling later.
- It will also add the properties suggested on Property talk:P758:

- Sounds good. Try do a couple of test edits (e.g 50). -- Docu at 22:08, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Done. Seems to work fine now, except I got the MediaWiki:Actionthrottledtext error, so I added a 2 second sleep before each edit, but still got the error quite quickly. Could you guide me on what edit frequency to use? Danmichaelo (talk) 20:30, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Looks good. Once you get the bot flag, you wont have the throttle problem. Just try not to edit too fast and delay "change dispatches" (Special:DispatchStats). BTW Q2728826 might be a bit larger than the monument, but the article seems to use it in the same way. -- Docu at 20:46, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- True, in that case the article covers more than the heritage site itself. We might remove the identifier manually from such cases after the bot has run. There are only about 2200 pages that embeds the template, and we have an active cultural heritage wiki project with 26 members including a wikipedian-in-residence at the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage, so it shouldn't pose a big problem to do some manual checking afterwards. Danmichaelo (talk) 17:06, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Agree. I don't think it's much of an issue either nor specific to this identifier. -- Docu at 06:39, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
