Question At first sight I would think that the CC BY-4.0 license is not compatible, whereas data here is licensed CC-0. How should I see this? Lymantria (talk) 15:25, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you for the good question. I'm not a licence-specialist, but I have found the following explanation under the CC-0 FAQ here: https://wiki.creativecommons.org/wiki/CC0_FAQ#Who_can_use_CC0.3F. Here a citation: "[...]For example, if your work contains another person’s work made available under a CC Attribution license, you will need to identify that work separately, attribute the author and provide the license.[...]". The author is already added to the reference - I would additionally add the property licence (P275) and the value the CC BY4-0 (Q20007257) as a value to the reference of each gdp value. After this extension of the reference the I think this should be compatible with wikidata. Cheers! --WDBot (talk) 22:06, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I have added two new edits on test.wikidata.org (see above for Greece and Canada). There you can find the information about the licence. --WDBot (talk) 09:17, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Are there any additional information or more test edits needed to complete the request? Cheers! --WDBot (talk) 20:08, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- It seems no others see licensing problems. I am ready to approve the bot task in a couple of days provided that no objections will be raised. Lymantria (talk) 16:29, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
