ZaBOTka - 2 edit
- Operator: Zanka
- Task: Writing standard descriptions.
I'm going to write standard descriptions for predefined set of items. For example, chemical elements, counties in Europe/... . Mostly I want to add Russian descriptions based on discussion with Russian community but I could also add descriptions on any languages (I added English as a test if community disagree I could remove it from the list). Big plus here is that set of items is already defined and every new language is just easy run. When bot will be confirmed please add your translation to the table on my bot subpage User:ZaBOTka/Descriptions. --Zanka (talk) 16:41, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
See test edits on Nov 13, 16:31. I've already made some changes to slow down bot script. Sorry that I didn't change it before. --Zanka (talk) 01:44, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I think it would be better to wait a while before doing this, until we have a better idea of what descriptions should be used. Is the starting dataset from Wikipedia categories? --Yair rand (talk) 05:53, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Sample dataset is from Task Force here. Actually, I'm going to check all items in every new dataset and then save it on bot userpage. It allows to reuse dataset and be completely sure that it is correct. I checked categories in ruwiki, usually they contains some additional articles. Right now it is enough to use existing Task Forces. But in future I'm going to use them (categories) too. Zanka (talk) 13:21, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Edits look good.--Snaevar (talk) 01:09, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- After speaking with Merlissimo over IRC, I feel that it would be a good idea to have you do a second test run, just to make sure that the bot works on the new API. If it does, I'll approve this immediately, as the request has lingered for far too long. Merlissimo suggests a test run of 1000 edits. I think that sounds reasonable for this kind of task. - I think that we can close this as not approved, because the bot owner is not active here now. --Stryn (talk) 06:09, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
