Hello there! I have been advised here to use Quickstatements for creating Wikidata objects that I could then cite on Wikipedia using CiteQ. I want to create objects one by one (at least for a start) but even for that I need to be confirmed, if I understand correctly. Could someone please do that? - @Sylvain Ribault: Have you tried QuickStatement V1?--GZWDer (talk) 13:58, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the suggestion. I tried to create one item, but ended up mistakenly creating thousands of empty items. (They are now deleted.) An accidental side effect of this blunder is that I was autoconfirmed. I have checked that I can now use Quickstatements. This moots my request for permissions. - Not done, As you are already autoconfirmed. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 04:18, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

I'm an experienced Wikipedia editor with an extensive background working with many types of data models (including MODS, MARC, BIBFRAME, RDF, etc.). I'm currently laying the groundwork to run a GLAM-Wiki asset-sharing pilot project within my institution. It would be valuable for me to have confirmed status in order to:
- assess feasibility of data contributions from the APS (metadata and open historic data) for a proposed future initiative.
- fully connect the institution's various Wiki presences (and forthcoming linked assets) together for better assessment statistics, etc. (For instance, although the relevant pages exist in Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata, they are not linked with a P1612 (Commons Institution page) property. I cannot add this myself because the Wikidata entity is protected and I am not yet a confirmed user.) Cinemacynthia (talk) 23:31, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Not done You have merely 50 edits at enwiki, which isn't enough for me to just grant the flag based on xwiki experience. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:58, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, Martin Urbanec. I suppose I withdraw my request, then. --Cinemacynthia (talk)
