I'm spending half of the time in PR China, where Wiki is sometimes blocked. I have to use my proxy via Digitan Ocean server to edit sometimes. Bdgzczy (talk) 12:47, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- You have less than 50 edits in total. I am not sure this is sufficient, but leave it for others to comment.--Ymblanter (talk) 16:29, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

IP unblock requested for a Wikidata hackathon on Wed 21 Feb at University of Edinburgh. Potentially 30 new users being carefully shown how to edit Wikidata and use QuickStatements. 129.215.168.* is the IP range for that room. May also need confirmed user status to be granted as previous demos with multiple new users of Quickstatements have failed because of some issue possibly to do with IP throttling/new user status. Stinglehammer (talk) 20:02, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- Done, will expire in a week.--Ymblanter (talk) 14:53, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

laMèreVeille (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools) Bonjour. I need sometimes to use VPN for professional reasons and couldn't edit on wikidata during that time. Already IPexempted on Fr:WP and EN:WP. LaMèreVeille (talk) 18:12, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Done @laMèreVeille: I think you should ask for Global IP block exemption instead of taking it separately --Alaa :)..! 19:28, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

As requested in my Talkpage, I am currently in Mainland China and have to use open proxies sometimes to edit on ZHWP. While adding WikiData description or interlanguage links from ZHWP, I have to switch VPN on and off quite many times to complete the progress, which is disastrous in that proxies are often hard to connect from here. Not to mention sometimes the whole Wiki could be blocked in China. Patroller, rollbacker already IPexempted in ZHWP. Thank you.-- Hal 02:53, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Hal_0005: I think you should apply a request to gain global IP block exemption --Alaa :)..! 08:38, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

IP unblock requested for a Wikidata hackathon on Wed 16 May at University of Edinburgh. Potentially 8-20 new users being carefully shown how to edit Wikidata and use QuickStatements. 172.20.106.73 is the IP range for that room. May also need confirmed user status to be granted as previous demos with multiple new users of Quickstatements have failed because of some issue possibly to do with IP throttling/new user status. Stinglehammer (talk) 16:38, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- Granted IP-block-exempt for a week and confirmed user indefinitely, although I think the latter shouldn't be needed as you are autoconfirmed. Lymantria (talk) 05:15, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- Confirmed is indeed redundant for this user. However the new users will probably need confirmed. Mass creating account: You can create accounts on other wikis (i.e. English Wikipedia, Meta, Commons) and visit Wikidata and you'll be logged in. Or have

Hello,I'm come from China.Sometimes I have to use some open proxy to edit the wikidate. So I need the ip-block exemption.Thanks. Wildly boy (talk) 10:12, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
- You seem to have global IP block exempt.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:32, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- But sometime I find my ip blocked in this project. So I want to requests this permissions to prevent can't editing.I'm sorry that my english isn't very good.Wildly boy (talk) 14:25, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Ymblanter: GIPBE only applies to global blocks; local ipblockexempt only applies to local blocks. To prevent suffering from collateral damage, a user needs to have both GIPBE and local ipblockexempt. Deryck Chan (talk) 15:50, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Futurwiki
Dezember ab, was passiert danach?
Du möchtest also über Proxies editieren.

- Weiter in der Policy: “… but are either being hindered by restrictive firewalls, or for exceptional reasons must edit via anonymous proxies.”.
