Palosirkka
Palosirkka (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools) I request the rollback permission to avoid having manually go patrol the edit I've undoed. Less work for me and for everybody as the nasty red little exclamation mark wouldn't lure unsuspecting moderators to go recheck an already undoed edit. Palosirkka (talk) 09:46, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

- Closing as no consensus for assigning the rollback flag. In the informal discussion below, it is clear that there are points for both sides, and even without a full vote and discussion I think that this result is appropriate. Ajraddatz (Talk) 12:06, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

{{Done}}
--Jasper Deng (talk) 04:31, 18 March 2013 (UTC)- I have now removed it pending an explanation of why you are blocked on the Serbian Wikipedia for sockpuppetry.--Jasper Deng (talk) 04:35, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- In my opinion, we should not be giving rights to any user who is indefinitely blocked somewhere, except in extreme circumstances. This is not an extreme circumstance. --Rschen7754 18:44, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- +1; I'm closing this as Not done for now. Regards --Iste (D) 15:36, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- I disagree. It should depend on the level of abuse in the other project. For example some admins block even for "bad usernames". Bene* was blocked indefinitely on plwikiquote because of the "*" in his username and without a request for unblock he would not have been unblocked until now.[2] This is just an extreme example to show that one should not generalize this. But back to Kolega2357. I do not suppose that Wikidata should think so global and I really do not presume that Kolega's sock puppets on srwiki have any bad influence in his local anti vandalism work. He surely knows how to use rollback and he can help us with rollback in a more efficient way. Therefore, I Support to grant him this permission. Otherwise, we would end in removing autopatrolled from each user with bad SUL record … Regards, Vogone talk 16:53, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- No, if he has a history of abuse, as his block is indicative of, he can't be trusted IMO.--Jasper Deng (talk) 17:06, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, let's remove autopatrolled as well then. It is also for trusted users only. I mean one should distinguish between user permissions which can cause much damage (like sysop, translationadmin, bureaucrat, checkuser, oversight, etc.) and less damage (like confirmed, autopatrolled, rollback, etc.). I do not see the big deal here. Regards, Vogone talk 17:16, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with Vogone. This isn't the Serbian Wikipedia and rollback is no big deal. He couldn't do big damage with the rights. Lukas²³ talk in German Contribs 14:18, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- Per Vogone and Lukas, there is no indication of any disruptive behaviour here, and he could use the rollback bit. All rollback does is reduce the undo time from two clicks to one - not a big deal. Ajraddatz (Talk) 18:16, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- For che record: he was blocked also on en.wiki for abuse of editing privileges. --ValterVB (talk) 19:43, 25 March 2013 (UTC) And on hr.wiki for sockpuppet --ValterVB (talk) 19:45, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘I'm on the fence about this one. Could somebody please look into es:Usuario Discusión:Kolega2357#Pregunta? Since Kolega has cited his anti-vandalism work on eswiki in this request, and since this request seems to fall more under the second criterion in Wikidata:Rollbackers#Requesting rollback (written by yours truly), I think assessing his record on eswiki is critical to the future of this request. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 00:37, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- This seems to be caused by a not so good understanding of the Spanish language. He accidentally restored a wrong revision containing personal attack. But I do not see how this mistake (everyone makes mistakes) influences Wikidata and Kolega2357's understanding of Wikidata. Regards, Vogone talk 13:22, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well... he's requesting to be a rollbacker. Rollback is for combatting vandalism. He has no history of combatting vandalism here. He appears to have a mediocre history of combatting vandalism elsewhere. If he makes some good vandalism/test-edit reverts here, I don't think I'd have a problem giving him the bit, but for now I'm leaning toward opposing on the simple grounds that he lacks sufficient experience. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 04:50, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
This has been going on for 12 days now, longer than a RFA. What should we do? --Rschen7754 06:37, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- I shall close it. Since I would personally prefer to just give him the rights, and am closing it against my wishes, there shouldn't be concerns over conflicts of interest. Ajraddatz (Talk) 12:06, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
