This page is meant to collect error reports regarding authority records (and, secondarily, bibliographic records), of the OPAC SBN (Q105086090); in Wikidata items links to SBN authority records are made through SBN author ID (P396) (it is advised to read the detailed guide about how to find the IDs of the authority records: it:Progetto:GLAM/Biblioteche/VIAF/SBN). Possible errors in the authority records include:
- duplications (i.e. two or more authority records for the same entity)
- conflations (i.e. mixups of two or more entities)
- in the authority records (i.e. the authority record contains data about two or more entities as if they were one entity)
- in the attribution of bibliographic records (i.e. the authority record about X has connected to itself bibliographic records by X but also by other entities)
- mistakes in the authority data (e.g. typos in the description of the entity, wrong dates etc.)
- mistakes in the application of the cataloguing standards (see the rules for compiling authority records)
Please add reports in the section below, at the bottom of the list, in Italian or English (or send them to the official error-report e-mail: ic-cu.AFnomi@cultura.gov.it).
Do not report duplications but only other types of errors; if you find duplicate authority records, add all of them to the corresponding item using SBN author ID (P396) and they will be merged as soon as possible. Do not report authority records which are not wrong but simply empty, unless the authority record refers to an entity with a very common name (in this case it is better to add a description of the entity in the authority record, to avoid future conflations).
