Wikidata:WikiProject University of Virginia/Scholia

Scholia @ University of Virginia is a project to use Scholia to present scholarly profiles of researchers at the University of Virginia (Q213439). The content basis of these profiles is the WikiCite project which seeks to index citations in Wikidata.

Background edit

The WikiCite project is importing citations for publications into Wikidata and performing author disambiguation (Q25052136) on the authors of those works. Scholia is a Wikidata front end which presents a visualization of content in Wikidata. Whenever Wikipedia has citation information matched with anyone's name as a Wikidata item then Scholia can present a scholarly profile of that person.

Activities at the University of Virginia edit

User:bluerasberry at the University of Virginia is developing Wikidata content related to researchers at the University of Virginia. Activities include importing the citations for publications of university researchers and directing anyone to develop other Wikidata items after the models at Wikidata:WikiProject_Open.
