  • As an individual I show my own Scholia profile as a visualization of my CV and in my own applications for funding, jobs, and conference profiles.
  • As a university grant writer, I use Scholia to identify and present my institution's past engagement in research which is relevant to funding applications. I collect relevant data and statistics and cite Scholia to make strong claims and be ready to demonstrate them.
  • As a university communications officer, I use Scholia to showcase the accomplishments of our faculty and past students. Accomplishments include everyone who has won an award and the count of papers published in various fields. For past students especially Scholia notes who became notable years after their graduation and remarked on their past education to the media.

Meta research edit

  • As a sociologist I use Scholia to get insight into research trends by demographic. For example, Scholia shows that certain research is more common in particular regions or among community members of a certain shared background.
  • As an journalist I use Scholia to make data visualizations which show what sources of funding back which sectors of research in various institutions.
