The overall goal of this WikiProject is to centralize geologic and earth science information for queries, templates, infoboxes and stub article creation.

Current activities include the gathering of information from en:Template:Infobox rockunit and related templates. The mapping of lithologies will be done in conjunction with Wikidata:WikiProject Mineralogy. Craters, ocean currents, glaciers, tectonic units, biostratigraphy, and many other forms of earth science data will be future goals of this WikiProject.
