Welcome to WikiProject Early Modern England and Wales (WP EMEW) !

The purpose of this project is to improve Wikidata's coverage of England and Wales in the 1500s and 1600s. In pursuit of this goal, we will partner with the collaborative Viae Regiae (Q105547906) project as they work to build a Gazetteer of Early Modern England and Wales (Q105548625).

The EMEW gazetteer will identify the places of the period and plot them on a map, with a particular focus on understanding the developing transport links between them.

A charter for the collaboration can be found on the Viae Regiae website
