- Abstract
Editing contests have a long tradition in multiple Wikimedia contexts, from Wikipedia articles to Commons files. Not so in the context of Wikidata. Can we do something about this? Should we? Based on experiences with WikiProject Computational Biology's ISCB competition that started out on the English Wikipedia and has since broadened to include other Wikipedia languages and Wikidata, I will explore some of the challenges in Wikidata-centric editing contests, along with thoughts on how they could be addressed.
