Abstract

There are more than 300 government-designated intractable/rare diseases in Japan, but only a few of them are described in Wikipedia Japanese, so there are only a few Wikidata items with Japanese labels. I believe that Wikidata will be a hub of related knowledge and data, and these disease items can provide valuable information to both patients and clinicians. I'd like to survey items of the designated diseases, make every item of them in Wikidata, and link it to other related resources.

What will attendees take away from this session?

The situation in Japanese open resources concerning intractable/rare diseases.
