Note that I Support Including Manual, Extension and Skin. Oppose Data because they are json frame pages, and Oppose Graph because they have only graph pictures, I have no idea on API pages. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 02:35, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
Moved edit
I boldly moved Wikidata:MediaWiki to Wikidata:MediaWiki.org, as the original name was rather confusing. I would have expected "Wikidata:MediaWiki" to be a page talking about the MediaWiki software as it relates to Wikidata, something like w:Wikipedia:MediaWiki. I hope you don't mind this change; in hindsight, maybe it was a bit too bold... This, that and the other (talk) 09:57, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
SPDX license identifier property proposal edit
Since MW standardized on this, it would be good for Wikidata to use it as well: Wikidata:Property_proposal/Authority_control#SPDX_identifier. Legoktm (talk) 05:57, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
Item types edit
What item types are described on mediawiki.org? Things that come to mind:
- extension pages are instances of MediaWiki extension (Q6805426)
- skin pages are instances of MediaWiki skin (Q21996535)
- hook pages are instances of MediaWiki hook (Q21674818)
- variable pages are instances of MediaWiki configuration setting (Q21481290)
- database tables are instances of MediaWiki database table (Q22802898)
- maintenance scripts are instances of MediaWiki maintenance script (Q22713195)
- PHP files are instances of code of MediaWiki software (Q22713289) (not sure there is much point to those pages existing, though)
MediaWiki/WMF releases? Special pages? Namespaces? API modules? PHP libraries? Content types? Notable MediaWiki installations? None of these have useful mw.org pages with much structured data though. --Tgr (talk) 10:26, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
API clients could use some structured data as well. --Tgr (talk) 08:28, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
Move "MediaWiki.org" to "MediaWiki" edit

Hello, as you see in Template:Sister projects on Wikidata "MediaWiki.org" is the only project where the ".org" is added to the name.
Can we change it and move this page here to "MediaWiki"? Regards --W like wiki (talk) 23:53, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
