I am Julia Popek, a French independent scholar about manga.

For a living, I am also working as an academic librarian. Notably I am doing some #Paid contributions for my institution.

Manga

I research female-oriented manga history: shōjo, ladies' comics, BL, TL, yuri, et cætera.

Currently, I am (slowly) going through the Japanese lesbian magazine Carmilla (I own all issues, save the 3^rd volume). It is a groundwork for doing some research on it.
