2019-20 Locust infestations edit

Hello IllCom,

Wikidata has three items about this topic, however this is not matched in all language editions of wikipedia.

  • Q85170873 Global view, matching the de-wiki-Link which you reverted
  • Q85414105 Situation in East Africa, originally linked to the dewiki-Link
  • Q85733945 Situation in Pakistan

In order to fix this, I created an article in en-wiki and changed the de-link. As a result, we now have a better matching in the information structure. I hope this explains my current edits.

Thanks, --Vernanimalcula (talk) 18:18, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, thank you, I am happy with the current state of those three items. Cheers --IllCom (talk) 22:19, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Identitarian movement (Q654863) edit

Re [1], as far as I can see the correct Commons category is commons:Category:Identitarism, which is at Category:Identitarian movement (Q10212098) and linked via topic's main category (P910)/category's main topic (P301), but probably something is lost in the translation. Can you explain the difference between that and commons:Category:Identitäre Bewegung, please? Also pinging @M2k~dewiki:, as it looks like they added the Commons category link. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:33, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Identitäre Bewegung (= Identiarian Movement) is a far-right movement in Europe, that under the cloak of preserving cultural identity promotes racist and white supremacist ideas. Initially from France, they founded chapters in many european countries (and a few overseas, like Identity Evropa in the USA), the most notorious ones in France, Austria and Germany. Identitäre Bewegung Österreich it their Austrian chapter. I was not aware of commons:Category:Identitarism, but judging by the suffix -ism it seems to describe the "philosophy" of the Identiäre Bewegung, which is a posh concept, given that their "philosophy" is the same as that of the Neue Rechte, but replaces a few notorious words with more innocuous ones. Hope that helps. Regards --IllCom (talk) 20:00, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the background. I've set up identitarism (Q105081226) and moved commons:Category:Identitarism there, then commons:Category:Identitäre Bewegung goes with Category:Identitarian movement (Q10212098) here (as the category item). Does that look OK? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 20:43, 26 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Looks good to me, thank you. --IllCom (talk) 20:59, 26 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
