Don't merge items that are not about the same concept! 1-naphthol (Q408876)instance of (P31)chemical compound (Q11173) and 1-naphthol (Q58117548)instance of (P31)structural class of chemical entities (Q47154513) so it's not hard to see that these two items are about two different concepts. - There was an agreement years ago that items about classes of compounds use singular. Description is used in Wikidata to disambiguate items and descriptions for both items are quite clear. Wostr (talk) 23:51, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
