Comment We have Wikidata items for individual dictionary entries? That seems an odd approach. Can you find an example that wasn't created by you recently? Or explain why you think this is something other people would find useful? ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:42, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  - @Visite fortuitement prolongée: I think that's something different - where a Wikipedia has an article that defines a word or phrase - at least the ones I looked at. Whereas the examples linked by Jura above are about a single word in one dictionary. The type of article I find in the queries you suggest could be linked via item for this sense (P5137) - I suppose that could suffice for something like what Jura has added also?     - Hello, I'm not a contributor on lexemes, nor on the wiktionary, but, on wikisource, we transcribe a lot of dictionary articles, that each have a page, i.e. tens of thousands of pages (you can have a look at this list of articles begining with A ; so far, we (ws contributors) have not transfered them on wikidata, but bots have already imported more than 5000 of them (see Petscan.
    - I am in no position to give an advice on the use of this property, that seems to be a reverse of item for this sense (P5137), which seems enough to me @VIGNERON:, you're both a wikisource and wiktionary contributor ; what do you think ? --Hsarrazin (talk) 12:29, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      - @Hsarrazin: thanks for your feedback. It's common indeed, one can easily find them by looking around. P5137 wont work as the value can't be a lexeme. In the other direction, this wont work either as the item Algérien, enne s. et adj. (Q56691360) is about an entry in a dictionary, not Algerians themselves. It's a frequent misunderstanding. We used to have a lot of people trying to merge items for entries in biographical dictionaries with items about specific people. At least until I cleaned up an endless mess created by some flood account.
        For those new to Wikisource and Wikidata, there is Wikidata:Wikisource. BTW, this should have no impact on Wiktionary, at least not one I'm aware of. --- Jura 13:07, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- Currently, we provide metadata for Wikisource. Using this property is consistent with other entries. Obviously, once Wikisource meta data moves to their own Wikibase, we wont need this at Wikidata. --- Jura 10:59, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Support I was thinking of proposing the same property. There are some works that discusses particular lexemes, e.g., I would like to say Der - som formelt subjekt i dansk (Q58799627) → der (L3064) or “PLUS THAT I BELIEVE IT IS AN INNOVATION....…” On the marginal construction with plus at as an initial conjunction in modern spoken Danish (Q58482515) → plus at (L36654). — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 12:37, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
