Revert auf Das Boot (Q62730)

Hi Denniss. Hab gerade deinen Revert auf Das Boot (Q62730) gesehen. Germany (Q183) ist hier das richtige Item, da es hier um das Land geht - also Deutschland - nicht die historische Periode des Landes (Westdeutschland). Westdeutschland ist ja kein separates Land gewesen, sondern der 1949 gegründete und bis heute existierende Staat der in Germany (Q183) beschrieben wird. In Fließtext kann man da ja "Westdeutschland" schreiben, aber in einer Datenbank muss man darauf achten, das richtige Objekt zu nutzen. Gruß, --Kam Solusar (talk) 21:29, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Dein Edit in Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard

Hallo Denniss, ich verstehe deinen oben verlinkten Beitrag nicht. Wo soll ich denn ein schlechteres Bild eingefügt haben? Ich habe überwiegend uralte Fotos durch neuere und hochwertigere ersetzt. Leider sind viele Wikidata-Einträge fotografisch ziemlich veraltet und im Gegensatz zu den meisten Wikipedia-Artikeln sind hier oft Bilder zu finden, die nicht unbedingt zu den besten auf Commons gehören. Wenn ich auf einen Wikidata-Eintrag stoße und weiß, dass es auf Commons ein besseres Bild gibt, wieso sollte ich das Problem dann nicht beheben? Da ich meine Bilder am besten kenne, ist klar, dass ich bei einem Motiv, das ich selbst auch fotografiert habe, am ehesten feststelle, wenn das bisherige Wikidata-Bild verbesserungswürdig ist. Ich hatte bei meiner Suche natürlich auch Fälle, wo bereits ein Top-Bild im Wikidata-Eintrag gewesen ist. Wenn ich dann selbst ein schlechteres Bild desselben Motivs habe, nehme ich doch keine Ersetzung vor. Das versteht sich ja wohl von selbst!

Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn du mich direkt angesprochen hättest oder einen Beitrag auf der entsprechenden Diskussionsseite des betroffenen Datenobjektes hinterlassen hättest. Wenn ich etwas falsch gemacht haben sollte, tut mir das leid. Es ist aber schade, dass man hier als Neuling so begrüßt wird, obwohl man Wikidata nur verbessern will. Leider klingt dein Diskussionsbeitrag sogar so, als würde man hier direkt unter Generalverdacht gestellt. Vielleicht handelt es sich aber auch nur um ein Missverständnis... Hallo nochmal, ich habe nun bemerkt, dass du meine Änderung in Hannover (Q1715) rückgängig gemacht hast. Wieso findest du, dass das bisherige Bild besser geeignet ist? Gerade hier ist der Qualitätsunterschied doch besonders groß. Das von mir eingefügte File:Neues Rathaus Hannover 2013.jpg hat eine wesentlich höhere Auflösung und Schärfe, als das Bestandsbild File:Neues Rathaus Hannover März 2010.jpg (27,8 Megapixel vs. 1,1 Megapixel). Außerdem wurde mein Bild im Gegensatz zu dem anderen vielfach ausgezeichnet. Als Valued Image gilt das Bild sogar als „das hochwertigste auf Commons im Bereich: Neues Rathaus (Hannover), from south“. Vielleicht kannst du ja kurz erläutern, was dich dennoch zu dem Revert bewogen hat. Grüße, -- Der Wolf im Wald (talk) 00:28, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

More unexplained reverts

Greetings, please do not engage is mass reverts without becoming familiar with Wikidata policies. Note that they may differ from the Wikipedias in a number of areas. Your contributions are welcome but undoing the work of others without good cause is counter-productive. As always there are many experienced editors here who will be happy to help. Thanks! Add additional claim in this case

I have reverted this edit. Contributing the number from German Wiki is helpful, but it should not overwrite the existing claim imported from Russian Wiki. Both claims are merely imported from a Wikipedia and so neither can be considered in better authority than the other. Instead, the claim from German Wiki should be added as a new claim, leaving both present. This creates a constraint violation that will need to be resolved, but we cannot presume either number to be more accurate. Thus the best action is for someone to locate a primary source, and add that, marked it as a preferred claim then. I have done this in this series of edits. Gossip sources are irrelevant as is the lovelife of some actors. They were living together for some time but no indication this was a full partnership. We need to keep some high standard here, similar to en wiki. Otherwise Wikidata would be just a dumb data dump for irrelevancies.--Denniss (talk) 18:09, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

@Denniss: 1. Their relationship was very relevant, even for those who are fans of the series in which they act together as protagonists. 2. I added other information about occupation and language as well. 3. I removed "medical condition (P1050)" because being a twin is not a disease. 4. All the "ethnic group (P172)" had no source. They are not mentioned on the wiki-en either, but looks like this the kind of "high standard" you are not worried about. Minerva97 (talk) 19:49, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
