redundant license statements edit

Hi, thanks for your work. Since APL 2 is an instance of "Apache License" which itself is a class of licenses, i don't see why we should annotate software with APL in addition to APL2. --LennyWikidata (talk) 07:21, 20 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, we should'nt. (– if we want to call everything that has developed somehow over time and has seen several versions a "class" with objects for each version, but that's another question.)
It just seemed to be the easiest way to first (accidentally) create some of these situations and sort them out afterwards.
I intend to fix all of these as soon as WDQ works again for me.--Frysch (talk) 10:26, 20 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikidata:WikiProject Informatics edit

Did you see that we have a Wikidata:WikiProject Informatics. If you would like you could sign up to get pings that concern the broader topic of informatics. - Did you see these 2 lists: Wikidata:WikiProject Informatics/Lists? Some of your updates made the tables grow quite a bit, which is really nice! --Tobias1984 (talk) 22:35, 28 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Operating system edit

Hi, why did you delete operating system statement on GNU/Linux distributions? In my point of view, this is also some operating system. Tell me your point of view.

It was redundant: There was also a "is a Linux distribution" statement in place. These are stated to be operating systems.--Frysch (talk) 14:51, 30 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Metalink edit

Hi, I removed the instance of (P31) free software (Q341) from Metalink (Q1924866) because it is a standard, not an implementation. I'm curious to know what your intention was when you added this statement ? Thanks ! Dachary (talk) 06:59, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Could you run a QS batch to fix this everywhere? edit

https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q192897&type=revision&diff=1372075011&oldid=1372074709 Also is it the LGPL scheme which is approved or the specific versions of it?

And this https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q1470293&diff=274327694&oldid=248108966 -> should be changed to one of the versions instead. See https://w.wiki/32$q there is ~600 items that need fixing.--So9q (talk) 06:48, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
