Coordinate location (P625)
editHello, I'm kind of new to the use of wikidata so I'm not sure about these :
- Should a ship wich has been scraped (or any object wich doesn't exist any more) still have a location ?
- If so, should it be the last location of this ship (which was in Texas and not in Pennsylvania for this one)? or should it be the place where it was created (which for this one was I think in Virginia)? or some place of importance for this ship ?
Thanks, Poulos (talk) 16:20, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Poulos: Coordinate location is the current location. --Izno (talk) 14:31, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi @Izno: When I click on the coordinates, I get a map with a point clearly in New England, and on a pier in Baltimore when I use one of the map softawares, but on en:USS Forrestal (CV-59)#Decommissioning and fate, it says that the ship has been towed to en:Brownsville, Texas on February 18th 2014. I don't know if it has been scrapped yet or not but there is a contradiction somewhere. Poulos (talk) 10:40, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Project:Be bold (Q3916099) and fix it! It's likely the coordinates weren't updated when it was towed there. --Izno (talk) 13:27, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
