reason for creating this item
editmplayer2 is (or was) a fork of MPlayer (Q131344), not version 2 of the same project by the same team. This distinction does not merit a separate article for mplayer2 in Wikipedia, hence the absence of sitelinks, but for structural purposes, I think it should exist as an item here. The official website for mpv (Q20760334) explicitly states that it is based on MPlayer and mplayer2, and another editor has created statements about mplayer2 in the MPlayer item that were self-referencing before this item was created. --Joel7687 (talk) 00:28, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
