I am a researcher of Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, previously open source/open content and alt. IP activist for Creative Commons and iCommons, and ex-Wikimedia Advisory Board member. I'm currently learning about Wikidata and its relationships with other knowledge bases on the Web including Freebase, with a particular focus on the affordances of different platforms for editing by ordinary users.
