I'm a main contributor of https://deces.matchid.io, official work form French administration and index to INSEE French death database

So we're just here to build links to the associated property P9058 and facilitate deaths retrieval, and propagate data quality.

Linkage are done using our algorithm https://deces.matchid.io/link, which enabled 10k automatic linkage on French people (citizenship) already targeted as dead (P570). The match took 10 minutes, and the insert on wikidata was done with qs in 20 hours.

The match only targetted 70% of the people for now, mostly beaucause of lacking data on both side (French death dataset is a bit incomplete before 1990), so we'll do some updates, then the monthly update, then match on "forgetted to be declared as died" people remaining on wikidata.
