I am a molecular biologist, interested in human genomics, human genetic variation (and its impact on various biological mechanisms like drug metabolism), disease genomics (especially cancer genomics), computational effect prediction of genetic variants. Furthermore, I am highly interested in next generation sequencing technology and associated bioinformatics methodology.

Currently, my focus is on expanding WikiData with biology and chemistry data, specifically genes, proteins and pharmaceutical drugs and the relations between those items.

I am also one of the core maintainers of the ProteinBoxBot
