I'm ShipIndex. In real life, I'm Peter McCracken, and I run ShipIndex.org. I want to make maritime history research easier to do, and Wikidata is a huge part of that.
I'm just starting to understand what I can do with Wikidata. But I want to contribute to the Ships Project, and I want to make it easier for people to incorporate information about ships into Wikidata. In some cases, that information will then inform my database at ShipIndex.org, once again to help people do better research in maritime history.
I and my colleagues will make mistakes along the way, but we stand ready to be corrected, as needed.
