As part of our work here, we need to consolidated and sort the items we are working on. To do this, we have written some new tools. Our /2018 Workplan describes our process.

Batches edit

I thought I would keep a log of the QuickStatements batches here:

  • March 14, 2018: Added occupation (P106) data to 2700 artists and writers, that I pulled from 36 categories on enwiki via PetScan
  • March 15, 2018: Added occupation (P106) data to 4900 artists and writers, that I pulled from 45 categories on enwiki via PetScan
  • March 15, 2018: Added occupation (P106) data to 5300 academics and historians, that I pulled from 5 categories on enwiki via PetScan
  • March 19, 2018: Added occupation (P106) data to 1800 Librarians, book people, and journalists/editors, that I pulled from 15 categories on enwiki via PetScan
  • April 9, 2018: occupation (P106) data to 249 items prepared with QuickSheets, as part of the /2018 Workplan's proof of concept. 107 items P106 was pulled from enwiki Category values. 142 P106 values were coded via the first sentence of the enwiki entry.
  • April 10, 2018: 656 occupation (P106) statements to items prepared with QuickSheets, as part of the /2018 Workplan. These are items whose P106 was pulled from enwiki Category values, doing a comprehensive search through all 2014-2017 created and improved articles. These do not include P106 values were coded via the first sentence of the enwiki entry; that will come later.
  • May 29, 2018: added on focus list of Wikimedia project (P5008) data to 3230 articles created/edited by A+F from 2014-2017.
  • Aug 11, 2018: added on focus list of Wikimedia project (P5008) data to 231 articles created/edited by A+F from 2014-2017.
