Ziwira derives from the extinct Babylonian language and means, “ Green Castle “. Historical resources suggest Babylon was a small administrative town often ruled by foreign migrant empires before it became an independent city-state. It was under the First Amorite Babylonian Dynasty of Hammurabi, in 1894 BC that the Babylonian Empire grew vastly. Present Babylon lies in Iraq, about 85 kilometers (53 ml) south of Baghdad. All that remains of this historic and biblical city are its mud-brick buildings anfd steep embankments.

Ziwira is a pre-historic Egyptian term given to 16th century designed prisons and literally means, “Secure Castle”. It depicts a bygone age where common criminals were taken to high-mounted fortresses for long-term imprisonment and punishment.
