Table Top edit

Hi Bidgee. Can you help sort out these three items:

I have no idea what's going on. They all seem to be the same place, perhaps cut in two by a council boundary? --99of9 (talk) 03:29, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

There is a interesting situation, Table Top is a locality of the Greater Hume Shire and a suburb of the City of Albury, bounded by the Hume Highway and a creek. SIX Maps is a handy tool to use to work on where locations are and what LGA they're in. Bidgee (talk) 03:46, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
When I tried SIX maps, the GPS location for the locality/"point of interest" was contained within the boundaries of the suburb. How can they end up in different LGAs? --99of9 (talk) 04:40, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Both resolve to City of Albury. Where do you get the "Table Top is a locality of the Greater Hume Shire"? --99of9 (talk) 04:44, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
SIX shows City of Albury south and Greater Hume Shire to the north of the Hume Highway (the section that goes east to west) and the creek. GNB has Greater Hume but not Albury (though I have a feeling that the database isn't up to date and some places are missing from it! Oh and for joys, there is at least five Table Top (with and without the space) Mountains in NSW. Bidgee (talk) 04:56, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Ah, ok, so the description "A locality about 10.5 km east of the town of Jindera. Boundaries within the Albury Council area shown on map GNB3729-2. Boundaries within the Hume Council area shown on map GNB3775." suggests that it is a single entity that happens to be cut by a council boundary. So we could have one spanning item, then two items for the pieces? --99of9 (talk) 05:38, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Tabletop (Q7673464) is different, located on the coast at near Byron. Bidgee (talk) 03:49, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
The enwiki article w:Tabletop,_New_South_Wales linked to Tabletop (Q7673464) is about the place down south. Which item would you connect it to? Should it be merged with w:Table_Top,_New_South_Wales even though it says "not to be confused with"? --99of9 (talk) 04:37, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Removed the en Wiki article which is totally not connected with the ID! Bidgee (talk) 04:56, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
That en article should probably be "merged" (i.e. deleted), because it's hardly got anything in it, and appears to duplicate the article about the place down south. --99of9 (talk) 05:40, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Table Top 2 edit

Hi Bidgee,

If you look on Table Top (Q3512773) after your revert of my last edit, there's two instances of located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) -> Greater Hume Shire (Q613414) on this item. One of them (the correct one) has object has role (P3831) = local government areas of New South Wales (Q55558200) (actual LGA item), while the other has object has role (P3831) = Local government areas of New South Wales (Q648607) - an instance of "Wikimedia list article". My edit removed only the Wikimedia list article instance, while leaving the correct LGA one alone.

(Also, the statement with the object has role (P3831) = local government areas of New South Wales (Q55558200) qualifier also has the reference to the NSW GNB :) Harryboyles (talk) 10:50, 27 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
