Quickstatements Woes :-) edit

I just read your page https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_PCC_Wikidata_Pilot/UNLV/QuickStatements which sounds sooooo familiar! I may be able to resolve your issue with en:"Robert K. Bunker oral history interview" Try wrapping it this way instead and see if it works: "en:""Robert K. Bunker oral history interview"""

I am wondering if you have come across ways to generate appropriate formatting when creating qs-compatible command lines from csv files. I am trying to generate citation information describing journal articles, and am having trouble with the qualifiers for the authors. I can set it up so that the lines work if I hand-code the formatting before feeding it to quickstatements, cf. "Diana H. Wall, ESA President 1999‐2000" (Q61459785) but I can't get the csv to save automatically in a qs-friendly format. I've been trying to use the tool https://ash-django.toolforge.org/csv2qs/#results which works for simpler commands but chokes if I try to qualify the author (P50) with the original namestring (qal1932) or the ordinal (qal1545). Have you been able to do something similar? Would love to hear, Mary Mark Ockerbloom (talk) 00:05, 25 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Turns out there was a bug in the tool, which they've just fixed :-) 100.34.132.84 03:46, 2 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
