@Simon Villeneuve: this person is NOT a particle physicist and should not have been matched to most of these articles. Some of these were matched to "A. Romero Vidal", which is a completely different person - Antonio Romero Vidal (Q60764077). I'm in the process of fixing those particular ones. But I think many of the other "A. Romero's" you matched here are also wrong. Some names require a lot of care - especially common Chinese family names, but also common Spanish names like this one (and English ones like Smith or Williams!), and occasionally there are rarer names that can have multiple likely matches. @ArthurPSmith:Hi
First, you don't need to yell.
Second, thank you to have find this mistake. I know that there's often namesake and it seems that here, I've miss it. I'll (find|create) another item for A. H. Romero, switch the property of the actual item to this one and dedicate the actual item to the "good" A. Romero, so I'll not have to correct all the items where this element have been putted in P50. @ArthurPSmith: Ok. As far as I can see, A. Romero seems to be the same person than Antonio Romero Vidal (Q60764077) (I'm pretty sure that there's no 2 A. Romero in physics at this university). I propose simply to switch the link in P50 from A. H. Romero to A. Romero Vidal, except the ones who are really related to A. H. Romero obviously.Simon Villeneuve (talk) 13:23, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think Mendeley is a good source for disambiguation of high energy physics papers. I typically go to INSPIRE - http://inspirehep.net/. Antonio Romero Vidal is at University of Santiago de Compostelo in Spain and is part of the LHCb collaboration. The A. Romero who is with the CMS collaboration is in Turin, Italy: Alessandra Romero. I've created a new item for her at Alessandra Romero (Q85747213) and started moving some of these records over. ArthurPSmith (talk) 14:37, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I'm surprised that a link given by Elsevier refer to a bad source.
Let me know if I can do something else. Simon Villeneuve (talk) 15:16, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Simon Villeneuve: I hadn't checked those specific papers - you're right, they do look like they belong to Antonio Romero Vidal (Q60764077). However, most of the particle physics papers (at least a few hundred) with author "A. Romero" are from the CMS collaboration, not the DIRAC collaboration (which those few papers are from) and the author affiliation is listed as Turin, Italy. I'm only moving the CMS papers, so if you want to move those few DIRAC papers to Antonio Romero Vidal (Q60764077) go ahead. ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:22, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Simon Villeneuve: I believe I've corrected all of these assignments now. There were 3 "A. Romero" papers in Wikidata that belonged to Romero Vidal, the rest were for the other particle physicist. ArthurPSmith (talk) 22:30, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much ! Simon Villeneuve (talk) 13:15, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
