Motivation
This would be quite useful in generating discography tables and peak chart position tables. Obviously, if this is created then there should also be properties for at least all of these charts, all of Billboard's various minor charts, and so on and so forth. Discussion
- Qualifiers would be needed to indicate the chart date (point in time (P585) seems inappropriate since chart dates aren't necessarily the actual time, particularly for Billboard, which adds a couple of days to match the magazine's publication date; so a new property might also be needed for this), which version of a single the position is for (I don't know how this would be structured), and possibly if a value is a chart peak (I don't know how this would be structured). - Would importing data en masse, even for data publicly available on Billboard's home page, be copyright infringement? To what degree could data be taken from record chart websites, manually and automatically? Jc86035 (talk) 17:12, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
