- Motivation
Christie's has a good online database. We already have Christie's object ID (P3783) but there are also ids for artists. For-profit company, but freely accessible, often with pretty good descriptions of relevant works.

By default, the URL associated to an artist contains both a name and a number:
However, the name seems to be plain SEO that can be changed at will.
