Planned useAdd it to all FIFA members items and national teams
Motivation

I think is better to at the codes to the football associations that are members of FIFA, not only to their national teams (FIFA is using the codes for all national teams of a country: men, women, U21, U20 etc). English Wikipedia article link the name of each country with the national team but others Wikipedias, like es wikipedia link the name of each country with their football association. Discussion

Comment Why not add to the national team itself, if its a code to represent them Unnited meta (talk) 18:35, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Unnited meta I think is better to use it to both associations and national teams. FIFA using these codes for all national teams of a country, not just the men national team. Others Wikipedias are linked the codes to members association, like es wikipedia. Xaris333 (talk) 21:06, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why this property is taking too long to be accepted? Xaris333 (talk) 20:07, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@ArthurPSmith: Please read w:List of FIFA country codes#FIFA, IOC and ISO differences and w:Comparison of IOC, FIFA, and ISO 3166 country codes. There are several discrepancies between FIFA codes and ISO country codes. For example, Greece is GRE in FIFA code and GRC in ISO code. (The datatype is 3 letter from the English alphabet).
