Motivation edit

Me a s part of a small group of students from Germany are trying to model hospitals in Germany in a logical sense (see also: Wikidata Hospitals project). We've been using field of work (P101) to define what services a hospital or a clinic offers but we see a slight difference in the things an medical institution actually specializes in vs. what services it offers. We'd be greatful for a discussion on this! --Rbndckr (talk) 15:15, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion edit

Guten Tag Martin schilliger, I would say yes. Haupt: "in the lead", main, that counts. Tätigkeit: Substantiv meaning activity (professional), as in Geschäftstätigkeit (business activity). But so what term do you suggest? Because let's not forget, this is not what's in the proposal and P101 also contains a column "Auch bekannt als" (alias for Qs) where you may find a suitable term out of the 5 proposed in German. Between English and my mother tongue, P101 seems to correspond to what is described in the previous section. Is the translation correct in German? Freundliche Grüße from Lausanne. —Eihel (talk) 17:57, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Eihel! Sorry, that my answer took so long. I'm a bit confused, to what do you mean yes? Yes it is a bad translation? Or yes it does have this meaning for you? —Martin schilliger (talk) 07:51, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
