Data type	Commons media file
Allowed values	images qualified with encoding (P3294)
Example 1	4 (Q202) → File:Old tamil number4.jpg (qualify with encoding (P3294)=Old Tamil numeral as image (Q69428365))
Example 2	5 (Q203) → File:Old tamil number5.jpg (qualify with encoding (P3294)=Old Tamil numeral as image (Q69428365))
Example 3	16 (Q40254) → File:Numero 16 Maya.png (qualify with encoding (P3294)=Maya numeral or more specific new item)
Example 10	above as images 4 (Q202) 5 (Q203) 16 (Q40254)

Motivation edit

code (P3295) allows to include values for various encodings, e.g. 100 (Q37413) Q37413#P3295 → ១០០. However, some are not available in character sets or there is generally no support for the unicode characters (e.g. Maya numeral). However, Commons does have images for such digits or numbers. To store/allow to retrieve/display these consistently, this proposal. --- Jura 09:33, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Test version currently viewable on c:Category:8 (number)#Q69428365 (for old Tamil numeral).
