Rationale, discussion and results

edit

Reason: All spamming in a very similar way, with the (disallowed) edits all beginning with The king casino :. There are probably many older accounts, but these are the ones I came across today. Requesting that CU block the underlying IP(s)/range(s) to try and reduce the future spamming. Evidence:

Please note that I've already blocked the accounts and reported them to SRG for spamming, but there may be other accounts that I didn't see or sleepers. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 04:15, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Results:

Completed Common SOCKS proxies spambot friends. Sadly, there are no other sleepers inside Wikidata :( All the IPs they used are gblocked. --Sotiale (talk) 06:23, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Latest sock - AlejandroManserg

edit

Reason: I blocked AlejandroManserg on meta per m:Special:AbuseLog/917318 - not active on wikidata, so nothing specifically to do here, but just documenting that this is a cross-wiki issue and that any future socks found should be reported to SRG and locked. @Sotiale: fyi --DannyS712 (talk) 07:43, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I think I've seen the same type of spambot about 20+ times in a few days for my work. Since their IPs are all OPs or VPN, there is no other way than to block their editing with filters or BL.. --Sotiale (talk) 07:56, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Completed Yes, locked. The proxies they used were gblocked, and BernieFkk5660 is the spambot made with the same proxy. --Sotiale (talk) 08:03, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
