Task/s: Removing good list badge (Q51759403) badge from articles in the Catalan Wikipedia
Code: https://github.com/WikimediaCAT/periodics/tree/master/distincions
Function details: It has come to my attention that a contributor to the Catalan Wikipedia had the habit of flagging his articles as good list badge (Q51759403). It made no sense for a number of reasons: this badge isn't awarded at all in the Catalan Wikipedia, none of the articles is even a list, and they aren't that good either. Anyway, he silently stopped doing that in 2020, but there are still more than 400 problematic items. Some examples are Étienne Richard (Q8078492), Agnese Schebest (Q87696) or Alfred Orda (Q3557579). So I have developed a small python script to remove this flag. It should be one-off because I intend to develop a few tools for early detection of that behaviour.
I have run a few tests, mostly on the sandbox, like this one (changing the enwiki link instead of cawiki) but also on one of the articles that had the problem. --Joutbis (talk) 22:17, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Yeah I don't think this even needs approval. 400 edits is very little. BrokenSegue (talk) 03:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
