Transclusions and translations part 2

apologies, but it appears I am still having difficulty with this concept :/
thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

so, as a member of the WikiProject Interesting Content, I've been working on preparing new content to be featured on the Main page under the Discover section every three weeks or so. As such, I recently updated Wikidata:Main_Page/Discover with new content - my understanding is that this page has translated versions, for example Discover/en, Discover/fr, etc., etc., which are transcluded into Wikidata:Main_Page/Content which is in turn transcluded into Wikidata:Main_Page. However, I've noticed that Wikidata:Main_Page/Discover is *not* the same as Wikidata:Main_Page/Discover/en even though when I try to update Wikidata:Main_Page/Discover/en (by clicking on the Translate tab - the only available option to me) I get the following message: "Translations to this language in this group have been disabled. Reason: English is the source language." Furthermore, it's not possible for me to edit the content for Discover/en directly. How then can I ensure that Discover/en is updated with the same content as the original Discover source? Is it possible for me to do this, or do I need help from one of the translator administrators? Am I going about this all the wrong way?

again, thank you. Your patience and expertise is much appreciated.

Every time a translatable page is being modified, a translator admin must mark the page for propagate the changes to other subpages (/en included). Translation admins check regularly if there are pages to mark, but in case of urgency you can leave a note here. For this time I have marked Wikidata:Main_Page/Discover for translation.
One question, every three weeks there's new content, or is possible that is reproposed an old version? --β16 - (talk) 09:17, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Thank you so much - I understand now. The idea is to have new content every three weeks, but we're also tracking previously featured content so it can be re-used again on the Main page once some time has passed. I don't think the updates will ever be urgent, but is there a recommended way of making the work of the WikiProject more integrated with that of the translators? Thanks again. -Thepwnco (talk) 21:17, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Usualy new contents or news on the main pages are embedded by a template. You can fully protect the main page and show the updated informations by editing the linked page(s).--Giftzwerg 88 (talk) 12:14, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Please mark it for translation.--GZWDer (talk) 12:22, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
