How to find external IDs through VIAF:

The Virtual International Authority File (VIAF) is a collection of authority records from various authority files throughout the world, mostly from national libraries. It provides an easy way of finding external identifiers for use in Wikidata without having to visit multiple authority files and databases.
Use the table below to guide you on how to retrieve the ID number. In most cases this is found in MARC 035, but there are some exceptions. The Field Name Shortcut column indicates that the Field Name can be retrieved via the agency's code in the parenthetical qualifier in MARC 035. This can save you time from having to remember the full Field Name of the Property.
