Visit of Berlin with a Wikimedian edit

Wikibase workshop edit

  • Date: Sunday, October 27th
  • Time: 10:00 to 16:00
  • Description: One day workshop for people interested in running their own Wikibase installation. Participants are asked to bring their own data set and think about a project for Wikibase in preparation. During the course of the day, we will install Wikibase together, work on data models for the data brought by the group and upload data.

iNaturalist workshop edit

  • Date: Sunday, October 27th
  • Time: 09:00 to 16:30
  • Description: During this workshop, you can learn how to contribute to iNaturalist the collaborative science project on biodiversity. Participants will go outside, take some observations and pictures, then inside to upload and add data on iNaturalist. We also will use iNaturalist observations in Wikidata/Commons and Wikipedia.

Hacking evening with OKLabs edit

  • Date: Monday, October 28th
  • Time: 19:00 to 22:00
  • Place: Wikimedia Deutschland's office
  • Description: On Mondays, the Open Knowledge Labs community meets to hack around, usually working on open data projects. On October 28th, they will dedicate their session to Wikidata! Feel free to join, discover OKLabs and meet some more people working on open data, politics and civic tech projects. The evening is open to everyone, no registration needed but marking attendance on Meetup is appreciated for better planning.
