Working tables edit
A working table takes place at a certain time in a certain place, usually around a table. The goal of a working table is to bring together people working on the same topic, to discuss about this topic or work together. For example: a documentation sprint during one day, a discussion about taxons during one hour.
The best place to organize a working table is probably in room Edison, the hacking room. But you can also use Newton, one of the cosy areas on 2nd floor, or even the cafeteria.
- How to organize a working table?
- Decide on the topic/angle and a reasonable timeslot (for example, two hours, on Saturday from 14:00 to 16:00)
- Add a section below, describing quickly the topic and goal of the working table, and give people a way to contact you onsite
- Once at the conference venue, you can find a good spot and update the schedule and the section to mention where you will be sitting
- At the table, you can also write the topic of your table on the whiteboard next to it
- Feel free to announce your working table on the conference channels (eg Telegram)
- When your session is over, don't forget to remove the information from the whiteboards so people don't get confused
