What are both name and description, and which aims do you intend to achieve with this event?
El concurso "Latinoamérica en Wikidata" busca alentar la participación de personas en la región para mejorar contenidos en Wikidata sobre nuestro territorio. Para ello el concurso se centrará en mejorar items de personas y lugares de latinoamérica a través del juego "Wikidatagame". Las 5 personas con más contribuciones serán premiadas con tarjetas amazon.
Para acompañar el concurso se realizarán al mismo tiempo una serie de charlas y talleres para mostrar cómo participar y cómo editar en Wikidata.
How does your proposal relate to one (or more) of the four interrelated points of analysis intended for WikidataCon 2021: i.e. Technical infrastructure; Data quality; Community health; and Diversity?
- Mejora de contenidos sobre latinoamérica.
- Comunidad: Ampliar y fortalecer la comunidad regional en Wikidata.
- Diversificación: Incorporar nuevos/as usuarios/as participen de Wikidata.

El concurso se realizará a través de Wikidata utilizando "wikidatagame", y se brindarán talleres para explicar cómo funciona la plataforma a través de YouTube.

El concurso está destinado a personas hispanohablantes. Esperamos una participación estimada de al menos 50 personas entre participantes del concurso y asistentes a los talleres.
Who is going to speak, teach or instruct at your event? How is this person qualified to do this? (We can help you find someone suitable if you need to).
Los talleres y armado del concurso contarán con voluntarios/as expertos/as en el trabajo con Wikidata de la región latinoamericana.
Resources, amount Granted, and expenses edit
Remember: each Affiliate can ask for the amount related to up to 30 participants, and EUR 30,00 per participant/per day. The evaluation committee may ask for changes in the proposals that must be done by September 19th, since the final publication of selected proposals will happen on September 20th.

Los recursos se utilizarán para premiar a los 5 mejores resultados del concurso. Para ello se contabilizarán la cantidad de ediciones por usuario participante.

El concurso y los talleres para participar se realizarán 100% online. En este sentido, la iniciativa busca generar un ambiente seguro de participación donde se aprenda a usar Wikidata al mismo tiempo que se generan contenidos propios de la región latinoamericana.

Se realizará una comunicación activa entre los participantes para incentivarlos a participar de la conferencia. Creemos que la virtualidad de la conferencia es una gran ayuda para poder acercar nuevas voces a la participanción de la conferencia, para ello se enviarán mensajes a los inscriptos, y se les compartirá el programa de la WikidataConf alentandolos a participar.
