Dagbani template(s) for nouns edit

@Masssly, Dnshitobu, Musahfm, Abubakari Khadijah, Munkaila Sulemana, Achiri Bitamsimli: I saw some of you were involved creating lexemes and Shahadusadik asked for help to create a template for Dagbani. I wrote those drafts for nouns in WLF/Dagbani based on what I found in the lexemes that some of you created. I don't speak Dagbani, so I really need some help from native speakers. I already know the nouns have forms for singular and plural. But one thing is still unclear to me: Does Dagbani really mark their nouns as animate and inanimate? And what about grammatical genders? If so, how many of them? I found some lexemes featuring these categories (e.g. bua (L7356), sɔŋ (L620259) and kuli (L307875)) and some without them. So I'm not sure if these statements are really necessary for the lexemes. Tony Naden's and Roger Blench's dictionaries show nothing about it in their entries. This online dictionary don't feature it in their entries, either. Can you guys help me with this?   Thank you in advance for your attention. Enaldodiscussão 02:45, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
