Name / scope edit
This property has been proposed as "RXNO Ontology" by User:Kopiersperre and was created after a minimal discussion one year ago. A few days ago, Kopiersperre changed the German name of the property from "RSC Name Reaction Ontology" to "Gordon-Nummer" (~ Gordon number, a name which was not mentioned in the original proposal discussion, nor is it on the formatter URL's page), removing the English label as well as the formatter URL, which also was included in the original proposal, completely (diff). As I did not find any discussion on this, I reverted the edits, asking for a rationale. This has been reverted again, without a statement. So I'm asking here: Is this meant to be (or simply: is it) a change of scope of the property? Where has this been discussed? What would be the effects of changing this? Would the pre-existing statements using this property still be correct (though per User:Edgars2007/Dormant properties, it looks like there haven't been any really, and all existing statements, less than 100 in total, might have been added by Kopiersperre now; with the original example having been removed by him)? Why was the formatter URL removed, which apparently still works? If this is meant to be a new property, a new proposal is required. In this case, has the original one become obsolete? --YMS (talk) 16:10, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've reverted the edits to the property. See also Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard#P2106 - RXNO Ontology, not Gordon-Nummer. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:12, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
Formatter URL edit
Hi - the Formatter URL (http://www.rsc.org/publishing/journals/prospect/ontology.asp?id=$1) is about to go offline as the RSC's old cms will be retired in Jul 2021.
I am not confident to change it here, but Wikipedia is using a new formatter url to point to the EBI's OLS. The example below is for the Perkin reaction (ID RXNO:0000003). If someone could update the formatter url to the new EBI one that would be fantastic.
