Abuse Filter #79 (Tag - "New editor changing statement")
Hello YMS, what is the threshold for this filter no longer tripping? Is it based on number of edits or time on Wikidata? I sometimes add/change P18 for images I'm processing at OTRS and after a year, my edits are still being tagged this way.
Hi JGHowes. This filter applies to users that have not yet been confirmed on Wikidata. Usually, users get automatically confirmed if their accounts are at least 4 days old and they made at least 50 edits. So basically it's based on number of edits and time on Wikidata. You should get autoconfirmed in a couple of edits. Until then, don't worry about the filter. It's just there so these edits can be double-checked easily; it does not mean you did anything wrong at all.
How's ORES working out for you on Wikidata?
Hi YMS, I'm working with User:EpochFail (@halfak on irc) on a research study to look into how mw:ORES is working out on wikis where it has been enabled. I was talking with User:ArthurPSmith and he suggested that I talk to you.
I was hoping to talk a little about what the kind of work you do on your Wikipedia and about how the ORES edit filters and classifiers have been working out. Do you use any tools other than Special:RecentChanges or Special:Watchlist that take advantage of ORES? Do you know of any other tools that are used to patrol that do not use ORES? I'm also interested in any other observations you may have about how the ORES scores are working out. Thank you! ~~~~
Hi Groceryheist. Sadly, I didn't really find time for Wikidata or any Wikimedia wikis recently. Thus only a quick reply here. I was mainly doing vandal fighting, and besides the special pages you mentioned I only know and use one tool that utilizes ORES - my own User:YMS/ORC tool. This is in beta state, and actually, the current version is flawed in many ways, so I completely re-designed it, but never finished the new version (time, again...). One particular issue was with ORES, which - while definitely helpful in general! - often slowed the tool down, which is why I disabled the ORES feature in the tool's default configuration at some point. I'd have to look into this if it got better since.
Thanks for getting back to me @YMS! It's useful to learn that ORES seems too slow for applications like ORC. Since you don't have much time for wiki work these days, maybe there's someone else you know of who might be interested in talking to me about these questions. Thanks again for your help!
Danke. So wird es wohl gewesen sein. Alles in Ordnung. Beste Grüße über den Rhein.
Give your feedback about changes to Special:Block
You are receiving this message because you are a top user of Special:Block on this wiki. Thank you for the important work that you do. There is a discussion happening about plans to improve Special:Block with the ability to set new types of blocks. To get the best design and new functions added, it is essential that people who use the tool join the discussion and share their opinions about these changes.
Instead of a full site wide block, you would be able to set a Partial Block. A user could be blocked from a single page, multiple pages, one or more namespaces, from uploading files, etc. There are several different ways to add this feature to Special:Block. Right now Important decisions are being made about the design and function.
Please review the page on Meta and share your feedback on the discussion page. Or you can reach me by email Also, share this message with anyone else who might be interested in participating in the discussion.
I appreciate any time that you can give to assist with making improvements to this feature. Cheers, SPoore (WMF) (talk) , Trust and Safety Specialist, Community health initiative (talk) 01:59, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

Thx for your help and sorry for my desperate english.
Hi. I'm not sure how I can help here. Do you want to have the pseudonym to be removed? Maybe it's better to contact an admin speaking your language, see Wikidata:Administrators by language.
YMS, I created entry Q52009645 for my company Garnet River LLC in Saratoga Springs, NY, but it was deleted within 24 hours of creation. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
I've started another entry, Q52063143, for Garnet Shield, which is a service of Garnet River and has its own website and logo. I was setting its property of "owned by" when I was surprised to discover that my entry for Garnet River didn't exist.
I'm new to Wikidata and watched the tutorial videos. Please guide me to fix my entry. Thank you.
Hi. See Wikidata:Notability for the notability guidelines. Basically, if there is no sitelink (e.g. Wikipedia article) for the subject, there should at least be external references that show that the subject is widely known. Being needed in some other Wikidata item also creates notability, but this doesn't mean that a link from another non-notable item makes an item notable.
If you think your items is notable and you can modify the item Q52009645 accordingly, I will restore it, as it has been deleted without any discussion. Just tell me.
Hello YMS, i have account was on Global Rename Progress. But it was declining when in procces in Wikidata with reason "had more than 100,000 edits" and "We cannot do those without the green light of the system administrators". So, please given permission for that.
Hi. Sorry, I don't understand for which account this request actually is. "What a joke" only has a couple of hundreds of edits here at Wikidata, and "Glorious Engine" doesn't even exist. And I'm not sure either if by "system administrators" actually the project admins are meant, or the IT guys.
Hi, I don't like what you have done here please may you put it back I put up to 2 hours in this piece of work
Hi @NaeNae06. Please see Wikidata:Notability to get an overview about which kinds of things we create items here. The school you advertised in Q50572277 does not fulfill these criteria. For your other contributions, please see Help:Description, your contributions here weren't following these guidelines, too.
Hi YMS , im sorry for the complaint thank you for letting me understand. Once again thank you
