Mrs. Marion Palmer was elected President of the Somerset County Historical Society at its annual meeting at its Van Veghten House headquarters, Finderne. Other officers for 1973 are Lawrence Dyer, Vice President; George Thomson, Treasurer; Mrs. Jean Harrold, Recording Secretary, and Alfred Buschhorn, Corresponding Secretary. A silent tribute was observed for nominating committee chairman, Dr. Frederic H. Adams, who died suddenly the day before the meeting. (English)
