Over the years, Mr. Wilson gave the museum a renowned collection of morethan 500 pieces of European pottery and. porcelains. The ceramics range in datefrom the 15th to the early 19th century,. with the accent on the 18th century, the era that produced the finest porcelains in the West.Mr. Wilson gave a similar collection to. the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and was also a benefactor of the Metropolitan Opera. He was an honorary trustee of the Metropolitan Museum and a member of: the Knickerbocker, Union and Brook clubs. (English)
